Group Placement

The Group Placement Program is designed to provide employment options that enable individuals with disabilities to work in integrated settings in the community. Individual Placement

The Individual Placement Program is design to promote companies to hire individuals with disabilities to fill their job opening. These individuals will be place on the employer’s payroll and South Bay Vocational Center will provide job coaching that will fade over time depending on the individual’s capability and job performs for free. Companies that hire our individuals will receive a tax incentive from the government.

Work Opportunity Credit for Individual Placements

The Work Opportunity Credit provides eligible employers with a tax credit up to 40 percent of the first $6,000 of first-year wages of a new employee if the employee is part of a “targeted group.” An employee with a disability is one of the targeted groups for the Work Opportunity Credit, provided the appropriate government agencies have certified the employee as disabled.
